Gain RACGP QA & CPD points- GP Education opportunity 2010
The EMRPCC is offering an educational opportunity to GPs during July and August 2010, like the waterfall the information will flow freely each of the three nights.
The sessions target the specific needs of GPs, moving beyond the basic principles into the more advanced or challenging areas of general practice.
The first session deals with pain and its pharmaceutical management and has Dr Jenny Philip and Ms Sandy Scholes presenting. Jenny is the Deputy Director of Palliative Care at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and Sandy is a Pharmacist who is part of the community palliative care service at Calvary Health Care- Bethlehem. The second session covers Renal Disease and gold standards in palliative care with Ms Fiona Spargo and Dr Mark Boughey being the experts on the night tackling all the tough questions. The third and final session looks at the challenges faced in addressing end stage cardiac disease. Dr Gary Gordon( cardiologist), Dr Juli Moran ( Palliative Care Physician)and representatives from HARP & EPC will navigate the way through the topic.
