Facilitator – Dr Fiona Runacres
Fiona Runacres is a palliative care specialist, with clinical appointments at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem and Monash Health. She previously undertook general practice training and gained her FRACGP in 2011. Fiona works in community palliative care, inpatient palliative care and outpatient clinic settings. Her clinical interests include specialist palliative care for patients with life-limiting non-malignant disease, including renal supportive care and neuropalliative care.

The aim of the workshop is to assist health professionals working in AGED CARE to acquire knowledge, skills and confidence in providing a palliative approach for people living with a life-limiting illness, and their families
This workshop will be delivered online over 5 weeks. One session each week on a Thursday for 2 hours using the ZOOM application.

Eastern Palliative Care Education Services provides Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) working in aged care facilities, disability or other community care providers, with an introduction to palliative care. It explores the comprehensive needs of people at the end of life and their families, and gives an overview of some common issues that confront clients and carers on a day-to-day basis. The course incorporates guidelines for a palliative approach to care.
One day course - Cost $180.00 per person [including GST] - Cost includes handouts of presentations, activity sheets, morning/afternoon refreshments & lunch.
